CSIR NET Exam Eligibility Criteria
Minimum eligibility norms for appearing in CSIR UGC net 2017 are listed below.
Candidates should have completed four years degree course BE/B.Tech/integrated BS-MS/ B. Pharma/MBBS/M.Sc/BSc (Hons) or its equivalent other degree OR BS program OR B.Sc (Hons) OR candidates who’re admitted into included MS-PhD Application with securing minimum 55% marks for general & OBC-NCL (50% for SC/ST/physically and Visually handicapped)
Candidates who’ve just obtained 10+2+3 pattern degree and enrolled for the M.Sc application can apply under result Awaited (RA) class provided applicants must have to fulfil their eligibility earlier than the last date of online application.
- The upper age limit for appearing for JRF is 28 years. Relaxation of 5 years in age will be given for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/OBC/ PH/Visually handicapped/female category.
- There is NO upper age limit for Lectureship.

How to apply for CSIR NET Exam 2017?
- Complete the online form on the official website and submit it.
- Take out the print of your filled Application Form.
- Paste your black & white photo at given space.
- Put your signature on the format given space.
- Atttach CSIR Fee Copy of Bank Challan.
- Include caste cerificate if applicabe and send to The Deputy Secretary (Exam), Human Resource Development Group, Examination Unit, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi-110012. Please write Subject Code, Centre Code & Medium Code on the envelop.
Note: Once you have submitted your online application form, Note down the Form Number. It will be used for downloading your e-Admit Card. Keep a print out of the duly filled-in application form for future use.
CSIR NET Exam 2017 Fee
Candidates can deposit the exam Fee at any Indian bank through bank challan OR through RTGS/NEFT.
For General category candidates: Rs.1000/-
For OBC-NCL category candidates: Rs. 500/-
For physically Handicapped (PH)/ SC/ST/ Visually Handicapped (VH ) class applicants: Rs.250/-
CSIR NET Exam Pattern
No. of Paper: One (1). There will be a single objective type question paper It will consist of three parts A, B & C.
Part A is common for all subjects. Part A is comprised of MCQs based on the quantitative comparison, graphical analysis, logical reasoning, series formation, puzzles, analytical and numerical ability etc.
Part ‘B’ will contain Multiple Choice questions (MCQs), based on topics given in the syllabus.
Part ‘C’ is designed to check the knowledge of scientific concepts and their application.
Maximum marks: 200
Duration: 3 hours
Negative marking rule can be relevant as in keeping with the situation smart sample of the test.
